    Why does behavioral health matter? Behavioral health matters because positive behavior contributes positively to communities and negative behavior has a negative impact on communities. MORE

We need to evaluate what resources we have that can be dedicated to care for those with mental health and substance use challenges. The approach needs to be holistic where we not only have a safe place but we have to ensure places of care are staffed with professionals who have the appropriate training and have demonstrated success or a positive track record (generated positive results) working with individuals who have had mental health and substance abuse challenges.
